Mexican super stars José Luis Ortega Castro and Raúl Ortega Castro chose “Río Roma” as the name of their pop duo because of how it sounds and it reads “Oír Amor” (hearing love) backwards.

I was commissioned to write a string arrangement for producer Andrés Ortega on this beautiful love ballad, which exemplifies Rio Roma’s musical and lyrical proficiency when it comes to love songs in particular. It was truly a great experience writing and producing the string arrangement featuring stellar violist Elizabeth Ridolfi on viola solo at the end of the track.
